Thank you so much for your thoughtful consideration of our children's hospice . We really appreciate your generosity and kindness.
As I am not sure of the sort of items you might be able to include I will list our needs and you can then select those which are suitable. I will also attach an outline of our programmes in the Community where we have 300 children and families, and Sunflower House where we have 12 cots/beds and sometimes squeeze in extras!.”

in BLOEMFONTEIN (with outreach to Botshabelo)
Sunflower Children’s Hospice was established in 1998 (originally as the St Nicholas Children’s Hospice which is now the legal name of the Trust) originally to meet the increasing number of children referred to the original Bloemfontein Hospice. At this time the hospice cared for many thousands of children, mostly with AIDS, at a time when anti-retroviral therapy was not available in South Africa, which meant that most children died before reaching the age of 4 years.
